THE CHALLENGE WITH THE PUBLIC SECTOR
For Demokratis's customers and partners, who primarily come from the public sector (such as cantons), the data location is absolutely essential. A solution hosted abroad?
That is simply out of the question for these governmental processes.
In addition, there was a real technical nut to crack: the first cantons are using the Demokratis application under their own domains. This required setting up CNAME records that seamlessly forward to the Demokratis platform. For the migration, they needed a partner capable of reliably handling this specific domain routing.
SWISSNESS AS A DECISIVE FACTOR
The solution? "Demokratis powered by Deploio". Moving was the logical step to meet the strict requirements of the authorities. The main reason for the migration was obvious: the entire infrastructure is located in Switzerland and is provided and managed by Deploio. This gives the cantons the necessary security and trust.
SUPPORT THAT THINKS AHEAD
We aren't hardcore techies. That's why we broke a bit of a sweat during the complete cloud setup and migration of our platform. But instead of anonymous ticket systems, we received super flexible support directly via Slack and personal emails. We needed a few special features for the routing – and the Deploio team delivered them for us quickly and without any fuss. It’s just cool to be so close to the product.
On top of that, we now have modern deployments. Deploying a feature branch via nctl as a staging app, testing it, and you're done. We can focus entirely on our mission and make public consultations more inclusive. Deploio handles the infrastructure for it, securely and completely in Switzerland. And they do a really good job at it.
